There were a great number of
books illustrated by Evgenii Rachev.
But there was an especial among his book. It was the Ukrainian folktale “The
Mitten” (Rukavichka). Readers saw it for the first
time in 1951. "Rukavichka":

(2012) (Chinese) Sure, there aren’t all editions of "The Mitten" in this list. The artist has made the new
second version of pictures for the book in 30 years after the first. They were made in another style. Not better. Not
worse. Simply they were others. "The Mitten" illustrated by Rachev wasn’t published in Russia after 1996. In 2012 only the Publisher
house "Amfora" from Sankt-Peterburg
has published the book with the Ukranian and Belarussian folktales in which there is "The
Mitten" with the second version of pictures and new retelling. The first version of "The Mitten" is popular and is
published in the different countries now. Using links on this page you can read
this folktale in the some languages and look these fine illustrations. Maybe here
there will be the book in all languages in which it was published. Unfortunately, you look the electronic copies of the book which is better
in reality. The real world around us, the real things and the fine kind books
are more impotent for children than a virtual world. Please look and read this very kind folktale with the very kind fine
illustrations which it is possible to enjoy very long.
