"I am Felix Ivanovich the Cat," he answered, the fur bristling on his back. "I've been sent here from the Siberian woods to be your governor."
"I didn't know about you, Felix Ivanovich. Nobody ever told me about you. Come to my house and have tea with me, will you?"
The cat went home with the fox. She led him into her hole and began feeding him with all sorts of good things.
"Felix Ivanovich, are you married?"
"No, I'm a bachelor."
"I'm not married either," said the fox. "Take me for your wife."
The cat agreed to take her for his wife and they, began a life of feasting and merriment.
